Instrument you're dying to learn to play?
I'm not really musically inclined, I can't read music, am not sure about my voice, and generally only sing while alone in the car or during worship services at church. However, I always thought it would be neat to play the Celtic Harp. My husband told me that IF I promised to learn to play it, he'd try making me one. I just don't know. LOL I'm lucky I can walk and talk at the same time, much less pluck strings with all 8 fingers and 2 thumbs at the same time.
So, anyhow, is there one instrument that you would LOVE to learn to play, but haven't done so yet? What about that instrument appeals to you?

Re: Instrument you're dying to learn to play?
I would like to play many things: mandolin, ukelele, and of course...drums. After being told in 4th grade that I couldn't play them in band, I still want to prove everyone wrong.

I would love to learn to play the bass guitar. It's so cool...and I love the sounds great musicians can muster from a bass guitar!

I would also like to learn to play the drums because they seem so cool. I played the flute in high school and I'm currently learning to play the acoustic guitar, but the drums would be awesome to play.

Re: Instrument you're dying to learn to play?
guitar and drums!!!
i'm trying to teach myself the guitar right now...just learning some chords, and reading tabs ocassionally...and maybe if i think i do pretty well with that, i'll start with lessons.
and for drums...i dunno man. i played maybe lik ONCE, and it is kinda hard to coordinate. but maybe it's because i've only tried once. but then you also need really good sight reading for drums, and i'm really bad with that. i know cause i'm really bad with sight reading on the piano. =\
so yeah, just sticking with the guitar right now...and basically if you know guitar, it's easy to learn the bass...hehehe.

Re: Instrument you're dying to learn to play?
since I already know how to play the guitar, bass, drums, harmonica and a few others, I would love to learn how to play the sitar. I know it'd take a long-ass time but I don't care.
