I need suggestions for a cheap amp, just something to get me started. Any ideas?

How cheap do you mean by cheap?

Even if you are just starting out, I would still by something decent. I'd try for something around 30 Watts and made by a reputable company.

If I was in the market for something like that, this is what I'd go for:

or buy any small line 6 amp... they are very good.
