When is Linkin Park suppose to release their new album?

When is lincoln park suppose to release their latest album? I thought they were playing a new song already at concerts?

All I have heard is early 07. They did an interview with Rolling Stone this month that is suppose to talk about the recording of it.

Future direction (2008–present)

In 2008, Bennington announced the that Linkin Park's fourth studio release will be a concept album.[53] The band has not released many specific details about the album.[54] In an interview with MTV in November 2008, Bennington stated, "It sounds a little daunting to me, so, I think my confidence level will drop, but when it was presented to us by this friend of ours, we liked the idea. It was an inspiring idea, and it was something we could relate a lot of the things we like to write about to."[54] He also added that the band planned to begin recording in December for a six-week session. He expects the album itself to be released in mid 2009.[54]

yeah, i didnt like thir new sound. it was more metal/rock. i miss the rapping parts and syth pads.

LP is famously behind schedule when they say they will have an album out. They said they wanted it out by the end of 2009, but my guess is sometime in early 2010. Don't get too excited about its being released in a few months lol.
