SO agree on "I'm Moving On," man. That's one of my "England songs" as I dub them; songs that I have on a playlist that remind me why I'm wanting to get back to my ancestry and heritage and move there, get back to where I feel home is for me and my daughter.
And on the "Sweet Child O Mine," hokeshel. Majorly there. That's always been the song for my mum and I. That, and "When I See You Smile," by Bad English. Those were always our songs.

Re: Most moving songs?
i like to listen britney spears songs..but my favorite song is
I WANNA BE WITH YOU
I try but I cant seem to get myself
To think of anything
But you
Your breath on my face
Your warm gentle kiss I taste the truth
I taste the truth
We know what I came here for
So I won`t ask for more
I wanna be with you
If only for a night
To be the one whose in your arms
Who holds you tight
I wanna be with you
There`s nothing more to say
There`s nothing else I want more than to feel this way
I wanna be with you (yeah)
So I`ll hold you tonite
Like I would if you were mine
to hold forever more
And I`ll savor each touch that I wanted
So much to feel before (to feel before)
How beautiful it is
Just to be like this
I wanna be with you
If only for a night
To be the one whose in your arms
Who holds you tight
I wanna be with you
There`s nothing more to say
There`s nothing else I want more than to feel this way
(I wanna be) I wanna be with you
Oh baby
I can`t fight this feeling anymore
It drives me crazy when I try to
So call my name
Take my hand
Make my wish
Baby, your command?
Yeahhh
I wanna be with you
There`s nothing more to say
There`s nothing else I want more than to feel this way
(I wanna be) I wanna be with you (I wanna be with you)
I wanna be with you
Wanna be with you (Yeahhh)
(I wanna be with you) I wanna be
I wanna be with you
(I wanna be)
(i wanna be)
(I wanna be with you) Yeahh
(I wanna be with you)
I wanna be, I wanna be baby
I wanna be
(I wanna be with you)
I wanna be with you yeah
I wanna be with you
I wanna be with you ............

Re: Most moving songs?
Kelly Clarkson - Because of You
I will not make the same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself cause my heart so much misery
I will not break the way you did
You fell so hard
I've learned the hard way, to never let it get that far
Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust
Not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid
I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake, a smile, a laugh
Every day of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start with
Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust
Not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid
I watched you die
I heard you cry
Every night in your sleep
I was so young
You should have known better than to lean on me
You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain
And now I cry
In the middle of the night
For the same damn thing
Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I tried my hardest just to forget everything
Because of you
I don't know how to let anyone else in
Because of you
I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty
Because of you
I am afraid
Because of you
Because of you

Re: Most moving songs?
it was on a music documentary called "festival exrpress" a bunch of bands toured canada a la train back in the early 70's (grateful dead, the band, janis joplin) anyway after the credits (at least ont he copy i downloaded) a canadian musician Tom Rush came out and did a murray mcglauchlan (howeverr u spell it) cover called "child's song" now murray may not be good (in my opinion) but this song, sung by tom made me cry. no joke. very beautiful and true song.
all about growing up, moving on. starting life. but extremely well done, very mature but vulnerable.

Re: Most moving songs?
hi Dramababe, A beautiful Father, Daughter song is John Berry singing , How Much Do You Love Me, on the cd All The Way To There. His daughter asks how much do love me ,how much do you really care?, he says ,I touch my heart, and spread my arms, and say all the way to there. It also says about little girls get married, it is a very beautiful song,

Re: Most moving songs?
some of the saddest songs are tear by tear(sister hazel), just a dream(carrie underwood)Tear by tear sister hazel, and permanent(david cook), let her cry ( hootie and the blow fish)
We all know sadness
And I feel your pain
Well everybody knows a little loneliness sometimes
'Cause we're all the same
We all have sorrow
We all have shame
Everybody feels a bit of emptiness sometimes
Now what you gonna do about that
There's a way to keep going
Step by step
Try to fix what's been broken
Brick by brick
While your life will keep coming
Year after year
Drain the pain
Tear by tear
Drain away the pain
Tear by tear
Take a look around you
Every face that you see
Well everybody gets a little paralyzed sometimes
The epidemic of our insanity
[Chorus]
And the mother she waits
'Cause her teenager's late
Till the knock on the door
He says ma'am I am so sorry
And soldiers come home
One leg less than they'd gone with
We all walk around like there's just nothing wrong with it
The doctor he cries 'cause his last patient died
Did I mention before he was a father of five
And the waitress is home
Well she can't pay her loan
She's lost everything - everything
Has no where to go
And the fat kid at school couldn't take anymore
All the taunts and the names and the ugliest words
No one even stopped to notice
Went on with their day
Till he pulled out a gun and blew himself away
There's a way to keep going
Step by step
Try to fix what's been broken
Brick by brick
You can drain all the pain
Tear by tear
Tear by tear
