Rihanna's music is rather good. House music kinda sucks though overall.

American culutre has become hip hop culture...or, did I say that backwards...
anyway, there is an over saturation...but, shit, the new rock music is not great either, etc. All music is just over-commercialized...you gotta dig to find talent sometimes. |

This is a tricky question. I wouldn't ever say Rap music is in decline. I'd say the stuff we hear commercially that is considered 'rap' music is in decline. I'd say a lot of artists who jumped on the rap bandwagon have been in decline since the beginning and it's gradually got worse. But i think that inspires more underground or lesser known artists to keep doing what they're doing, and eventually that music will come through and will sound even more refreshing. When you consider, say, the Roots new album... how can you say rap music is in decline. If anything when you hear some Rap albums from the last 10 years you can say that the quality and and musical knowledge of rap/hip hop has never been at a higher point, but on the flipside the majority of the industry that we all see day to day has never been lower.
