Registering and participating at Expose The Music constitutes agreement to abide by the following Terms & Conditions:

Expose The Music cannot and will not be held responsible for the content in these forums and we cannot and will not be held responsible for any slanderous remarks made by any member. The staff of Expose The Music cannot and will not be held responsible for any posts, the content in the posts and any unreliable information submitted to these forums by members of Expose The Music.

We assume no responsibility to monitor the forum but may do so at our discretion. Member posted content may be removed from the forum at any time without prior notice.

The Responsibilities of a Expose The Music (EtM) Member
  1. If you have a problem with a post or a member here, please do not deal with it on the board. Please send them an e-mail or a Private Message (PM) to discuss the matter. Or, if you do not feel comfortable with this, contact an Administrator or Moderator to help resolve or mediate the matter.
  2. Be respectful. It’s perfectly fine to disagree with others as long as it is done respectfully and maturely, but do not attack other members in your posts or comments. Name calling of other members is absolutely not tolerated here and may result in suspension.
  3. Please remember to stay on topic in the appropriate Music forums.

The following are not permitted in any shape or form at Expose The Music, and are grounds for warnings, suspension or a permanent ban (*please see note below).
  1. Please do not use excessive profane language. Excessive use of swearing will result in warning or other action against your account.
  2. The main language here is English, whole posts or conversations in languages besides the main (English), that isn't teamed with a translation hinder moderation and as such is prohibited.
  3. Absolutely no advertisements, chain letters, spam or related materials. Excessive promotion of your bands website and/or other resource such as myspace will result in action taken on your account. Please do not abuse this.
  4. Pornography is not permitted.
  5. Do not post in caps. In message board language it is considered yelling, and as such, rude and offensive. If a thread title or post is typed in caps, it may be edited or deleted at a moderator's discretion.
  6. Expose The Music is not a hate forum – continual negative posts in threads about bands or artists will not be accepted. Respect other people's taste in music.
  7. Multiple accounts is not allowed. If you have forgotten your password or login information, please contact a Moderator or Admin to have it e-mailed to you. Do not create yourself a new account.

Members should note that Expose The Music runs on a warning system. Each member gets one initial warning for minor offenses. These do not add any infraction points to your account. Each addition warning will result in points, different for each offense, being added to your account. Once you receive 10 infraction points your account will be terminated for 2 weeks. Warnings and Infractions are active for 3 months. So with good behavior, they will start to fall off.

The Expose The Music also reserves the right to amend any rules at anytime and with regard to any subject.

Before posting, please consider the following:
  1. Before starting a new thread, take a look ensure that there is not already a pre-existing thread discussing the same matter. Staff have the right to delete or merge duplicate threads. If starting a new thread, please post a title that accurately reflects the contents and information within the thread so that members are not misled.
  2. Please think about how you use font sizes and colors. It can easily be overdone, distracting and hard to read. Posts made in this manner may be edited or deleted at a Staff Members discretion.
  3. If you are quoting another member's post and the post has a picture in it, please edit out the image before submitting your reply. Re-quoting an image takes up space on our server and also draining the bandwidth of the website from which the image has been taken.

Signatures
Should be limited to a maximum of 8 lines of standard font text. Large font text should not be used in signatures. There is to be no swearing or graphic language used in a signature. Advertising links are not allowed.

Avatars
Should not be an offensive or graphic image of a sexual or crass nature which is up to the discretion of the Staff here. Such images as avatars will result in a warning or infraction.

Disabling Accounts
We do not delete or disable accounts in anyway.

An update to signatures. Due to people signing up only to put a link in their signature members must have at least 50 posts before they can use a signature.

Self Promotion: While we encourage artists/bands to share their music openly we do not allow businesses to promote their websites on our site without first getting permission.

We reserve the right to delete any posts that we feel break this rule. We also reserve the right to warn and/or ban the offending user if it continues.
