R.E.M. recently released a new album "accelerate".

Did anyone here get it? and what did you think?

they're back to their old style.. not that i didn't like around the sun.

are you a R.E.M. fan?

I haven't followed them in years since I was never that into their songs like Losing My Religion and stuff like that. I liked Pop Song 89 and their earlier stuff that was not as polished sounding. But I wanted to go back and see what I missed out on...maybe by ignorance or simply something I may not have been into then but more into now.

thats the type of song i like from r.e.m. i dont like the pop songs. My favorite song is superman =)

their new cd is kind of a different style to the I.R.S years, but it sounds more "dirty" than the likes of man on the moon etc..

That's cool. Then maybe I'll like it more. The newer stuff is way too mainstream for my tastes. It's OK but not my thing.
